The St. Joseph’s Academy Board of Directors hosted The 1868 Dinner on April 26 to celebrate the successes of the 2017-2018 academic year. Held at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center, the event honored Donor Society members, families and individuals establishing scholarships in the past year, those who served in volunteer leadership capacities and SJA’s Outstanding Alumnae for 2018: Kristy Roubique, class of 1976, and Dr. Liz Dauzat Seiter, class of 1979.

He introduced emcee Brenda LeBlanc, a member of the SJA health and physical education department for 24 years. She introduced the Sisters of St. Joseph in attendance, SJA’s administration and members of the Board of Directors.
A group of SJA vocalists, under the direction of Steve Galliano, sang the blessing and performed prior to dinner.

She provided an update on the construction of the new Academy Student Center and shared some of the highlights of the 2017-2018 academic year.
