The eighth annual Sticker Stampede 10K, 5K and Fun Runs, hosted by the St. Joseph’s Academy Alumnae Association on November 10, enjoyed great success. Some 431 runners participated in the race, presented by Varsity Sports.
SJA Alumnae Director Katie Jeter Valenciano said this year’s Sticker Stampede was one of the best to date. “After almost a week of rain, our prayers were answered, and the weather cleared up,” she said. “We had perfect race-day weather: sunny and upper 50s. It was a perfect day to honor our veterans and introduce our 10K race.”
Runners and visitors enjoyed a Finishers Festival and Marketplace throughout the morning, featuring local vendors, food, beverages and live music. There was also a special kids’ area with crafts and game.
