Swim Team Hosts Awards Party

Members of the St. Joseph’s Academy swim team celebrated the 2018 season, in which they brought home their eighth consecutive Division I state championship and 19th straight Capital City Swim League title. The awards ceremony took place on January 27 at the home of team members Isabel (senior) and Anna (freshman) Webre. 

Faculty moderator Nan Murtagh awarded varsity letters, including four-year letters to seniors Claire Bass, Kirby Black and Isabel Webre. 

Several special awards were also given, as follows. 

Most Valuable Swimmer: Amanda Andrews
Captains’ Award: Isabel Webre and Cameron Accardo
Coach’s Award: Isabel Webre and Cameron Accardo
Most Improved Swimmer: Gabby Joffrion 

Also recognized were swimmers named to the 2018 All-Metro Team: Amanda Andrews
Kirby Black, Julia Brinson, Isabel Webre and CeCe Werth.

Honored for having been named to the 2018 All-Academic Composite Team was Madi Ogra. Named to the All-Academic Division I Team were Claire Bass, Kirby Black and Isabel Webre.
