As we look forward to the celebration of the 150th anniversary of our founding by the Sisters of St. Joseph, we continue to look ahead to ensure a holistic education of faith development, academic excellence and personal growth for the young women of St. Joseph’s Academy. A vital part of this process is our strategic plan.
We are excited to embark upon the planning process which will define and shape our goals, priorities and work for the next three years.
We thank those of you who participated in our strategic planning process in 2013. Thanks to your input, much was accomplished. We established a rigorous STEM program, opened an Innovation and Design Lab and increased the number of Advanced Placement courses from nine to 23. We added out-of-town and on-campus reunions/celebrations for our graduates. We created an engaging intramural athletic program and undertook an assessment of facilities needed to support athletics and meet other school needs. The resulting Academy Student Center will be dedicated in August.
We broadened student, faculty and alumnae exposure to the mission and charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph, undertook an in-depth analysis of enrollment and developed a plan for long-term growth. Faculty and staff were surveyed regarding benefits preferences, and our theology teachings were evaluated in light of students’ faith development.
These are just some of the results of our 2013 strategic planning process, and we look forward to hearing from you as we devise our next plan.
