The Soirée began as an evening of fellowship hosted by Sister William Matthew, CSJ in 1993 aboard the Steamboat Natchez in New Orleans. Through the years, the event flourished under the guidance of Sister Carolyn Brady, CSJ and grew to include parents, grandparents, alumnae and community members. Today, The Soirée is the premier fundraising event for St. Joseph's Academy, a ministry of the Sisters of St. Joseph. The SJA Mission Advancement Office and The Soirée 2017 Committee, chaired by Tena Roemer, are passionate about continuing the legacy of service passed on by the Sisters of St. Joseph. Along with Kristy Carriere, Silent Auction chair; Karen McCullen and Sharon Poche, Restaurant co-chairs; and Monte Brown and Fran Fremaux, Dream Vacation Raffle co-chairs, we invite you to join us for The Soirée 2017!
The celebration will begin at 7 p.m. as we gather in the beautiful Academy Arts Center to enjoy cocktails and canapes, live music and bidding on a perfectly curated collection of irresistible live and silent auction items. And, since we know that most will not want the evening to end at 10 p.m., your Soirée ticket will also grant you 10:30 p.m. admission to continue the fun at Blend and dance to the tunes of the V-Tones.
